Career Opportunities / Development
As an internationally acclaimed leader in senior care and gerontological research, Hebrew SeniorLife relies -- to no small degree -- on the generosity of a broad and diverse pool of benefactors to fund the continued growth of our services and facilities. The extraordinary work of our development professionals makes this possible.
As a part of this team, you will enjoy the opportunity to take part in our historic More Than Ever campaign, an ambitious, five-year, $100 million comprehensive capital campaign designed to help the organization re-shape the future of senior care by redefining philanthropic giving to Hebrew SeniorLife. This campaign provides a foundation for the continued expansion of our programs, including the development of the multigenerational NewBridge on the Charles campus in Dedham, renovations for Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, supportive housing communities in Brookline, the Skilled Nursing Facility at Orchard Cove, sophisticated research at the renowned Institute for Aging Research, and much more -- for years to come.
Our development team is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors and foundations, while also organizing fundraising and stewardship events to support the Campaign. These responsibilities integrate a wide range of initiatives, including:
- Naming opportunities on all of our campuses
- The Hebrew SeniorLife Annual Fund, including three mailings per year
- Memorial gifts
- Planned giving
- Endowments
- Special events
- Recognizing and acknowledging gifts, including plaques and newsletter listings
- Meal planning services for homebound seniors during the three Jewish High Holidays
The Development Department also features an Auxiliary Services arm, which is responsible for planning multiple fundraising events for the Men's Associates and Women's Auxiliary in support of the More Than Ever campaign, including:
- Golf tournaments
- Poker nights
- Bowling parties
- Educational seminars and breakfasts
In addition, we take great pride in keeping in touch with Hebrew SeniorLife's Florida constituency during the winter months. We host two annual events in Palm Beach for all Hebrew SeniorLife supporters, and three events for members of the Florida Friends volunteer association.
Hebrew SeniorLife offers a friendly, collaborative work environment, excellent growth opportunities, and a generous benefits package designed to make the balance of work and life a reality. For a complete list of opportunities currently available, please click here.
